Born From
The Yaad
Jamaican-Chinese Caribbean heritage. GTA roots. Culture for everyone.

Made For The Diaspora
The Yaad started because Caribbean clothing in Canada was stuck between two bad options: airport souvenir tees on one side, watered-down corporate streetwear on the other. Born from Jamaican-Chinese Caribbean heritage and raised between Eglinton West and Scarborough, we wanted clothing that actually sounded like home.
So we design tees, snapbacks and accessories that rep specific people, places and inside jokes — and we print them locally in the GTA. Custom runs for crews and companies too. Built for the diaspora, by the diaspora, shipped across Canada.
“Caribbean clothing that sounds like home.”
Yaad
/yaad/ — noun. Home. Where you're from. The yard, the community, the roots.
In Jamaican patois, “yaad” means home — the place that shaped you. That's what every tee, snapback and stitch is built around. Caribbean clothing that reps where you're from, not where you're selling. Not a novelty. Not a phase.
Our Values
Designed With Care
